LPSQ Superintendent (m/f/d) Ferry & Yacht

As an LPSQ Superintendent (m/f/d) Ferry & Yacht at BSM Cruise, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with international safety, quality, and environmental standards across assigned vessels. Acting as a key link between ship and shore, you will monitor vessel performance, manage audits, investigate incidents, and drive continuous improvement to uphold the highest standards of safety and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor changes in legislation and update LPSQ rules, standards, and procedures to maintain compliance.
Enforce accurate implementation of safety, quality, and environmental policies on assigned ferry and yacht vessels.
In charge of the development of the SMS, as well as overall operational processes and manual for the company and the vessels.
Identify and analyze risks in LPSQ processes and propose preventive measures.
Conduct vessel visits, investigations, and audits under ISM and other regulatory codes; follow up on corrective actions.
Prepare and submit reports on LPSQ issues and audit results to clients and management.
Coordinate with external authorities and auditors to support effective execution of audits (e.g. Classification Society and Flag States).
Communicate with maritime authorities and industry bodies to maintain strong relationships.
Provide guidance and training to ship staff during visits; support performance appraisals and identify development needs.
Participate in budget planning and execution.
Acting as DPA for the assigned fleet.
Leading and taking part in the Emergency Response Team.
Qualifications & Experience
B.Sc. in Marine or Naval Engineering, or Master/Senior Officer’s Certificate.
Minimum 3 years sailing experience as Master/Senior Officer, or
4–6 years as LPSQ Manager or Superintendent within a ship management or owning company
Mandatory experience with RoPax-Ferry and Yachting business.
Holds DPA qualification.
Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of quality, safety, and environmental standards and related legislation.
Experience in customer management and maritime market practices.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Proven people management and leadership abilities.
